What you will learn:
• All the different formats available in modern sewing patterns.
• How to read and understand all the details provided with your sewing patterns.
• How to choose the right size from the pattern details.
• How to modify those patterns for a personal fit.
• How to choose the most appropriate fabric for your sewing project.
• How to read and understand the cutting instructions and pattern lay-plans.
• Laying out your pattern pieces and cutting your cloth.
• Sewing your personal project together in the correct sequence for a successful outcome.
For the best possible outcome in this 4 week workshop we recommend you select and easy sewing pattern for your first project. By that we suggest: Pyjama pants, a simple skirt style, a simple shift dress, etc. in woven fabric.
