Camille McCawley from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust will share information about the Wilder Nottinghamshire Network, the benefits of joining and how you can get involved. You'll meet like-minded groups from the local area where you can share ideas.
Helen Oparinde from Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS) Group Support Coordinator will be joining our workshop to discuss:
What legal structure to consider as you set up or as your group evolves
What policies and procedures you need to consider when delivering this type of community group.
Helen’s role is to provide a variety of free support to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations based and delivering services in the geographical area of Broxtowe Borough. You can read more about the additional support available here: support for groups.
This support is funded by Broxtowe Borough Council as part of its UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF) and is available from NCVS up to 31 March 2025.
Following the workshop, you can access one to one support with any of the topics discussed and more.
This workshop will be held in-person at Attenborough Nature Centre. Spaces are limited, so please let us know if you can't make it as we will likely have a waiting list.
Please note that whilst the workshop itself is not charged, parking fees apply. This is waived for NWT members, Attenborough volunteers and staff who have previously registered their vehicles: https://www.nottinghamshirewildlife.org/attenboroughparking
