About this Event
English Leather Master Coaching and Justin Meli present How to be a Gay Human. An online retreat for GBTQ+ men aged 18 and over.
Do you ever see people talking about the ‘gay community’ and wonder if you’re truly a part of it?
Do you find yourself acting in ways you don’t really like just to fit in?
Are you confused about your feelings regarding money, sex, relationships, or your body, especially when comparing yourself to people online or in gay media?
Do you ever wonder what it means to be a gay, bisexual, or queer man in 2024?
Do you struggle with feelings of unworthiness, not belonging, or not being enough?
If so, I invite you to join a group of GBTQ men who feel just like you for a weekend of self-exploration, discussion, community, and growth.
Many GBTQ men grew up in a world that shamed us for our very nature. We were told that loving men, enjoying sex, wanting to look good, enjoying the arts, or showing emotions was not ‘manly’.
We sought a new community but found ourselves shamed again.
We were told we needed to:
- Have a different body type
- Drink or take drugs to fit in
- Have certain types of sex
- Achieve success in our jobs
- Be interested in specific types of music or art
- Behave in certain ways
- Dress in predetermined ways
- Hold specific political views
In other words, we were shamed again into compliance by those who were supposedly more ‘like us’.
Led by members of the Gay Coaches Alliance, this online weekend retreat will explore all aspects of our lives in a supportive, immersive environment.
Discover what it means to be a gay human in a world that seems more divided than ever.
In this shame-free, non-judgmental space, you will be able to examine your behaviours, both positive and negative, and understand your drivers.
You’ll emerge with:
- A deeper understanding of why you do the things you do.
- The ability to make more conscious choices about how much of ‘gay culture’ you allow into your life.
- A vision for your life when you start taking the lead on deciding who you want to be as a GBTQ man in 2024.
Everyone is welcome to this virtual retreat, but it’s especially designed for people who have had the following messages aimed at them throughout their lives:
- As a man, you must be tough and strong
- As a man, you can’t show your emotions
- As a GBTQ man, you must adhere to the prescribed gay lifestyle
- As a GBTQ man, there’s always someone better than you, so you must work harder, train harder, party harder, or have more sex to feel you fit in.
The retreat is aimed at men as there are very different messages that society aims at men and women. We believe that it will benefit anyone who lives their lives as a man and is part of the LGBTQ+ community.
All GBT men are welcome to this virtual retreat, regardless of age (18+ only), race, or background. We believe diversity enriches our community and look forward to the unique perspectives each participant will bring.
Join us for a transformative experience.
Reserve your spot now and take the first step towards a more life that feels truer to you as a gay (or bisexual or queer…) human in 2024.
