About this Event
On May 7th, YETI ambassador Genevieve Taylor will land in Austin to celebrate her new book How to BBQ - The Definitive Guide to Cooking Over Fire - with a live panel at the YETI flagship store.
She’s joined by Tuffy Stone (aka the Professor of Barbecue) and Jay Beaumont of the Under Seasoned BBQ Show for a conversation hosted by Texas Monthly's own Daniel Vaughn.
Expect a lively, straight-talking conversation about how barbecue looks (and tastes) on different sides of the world—from British live-fire cooking to Texas low-and-slow, with a detour to Australia. There will be stories, strong opinions, and plenty of fire.
Following the conversation, Genevieve will be providing tasty bites from the book straight off the coals, and copies of How to BBQ will be available.
Schedule:
- 5:30 - Happy hour (the first 30 guests to purchase a drink will receive a free YETI Lowball!)
- 6:00 - Conversation with Genevieve, Tuffy, Jay and Daniel
- 6:30 - Q&A
- 6:45 - Meet the panel, try bites from Geneveive's book
