Whether you want to make a dress more practical or give an old tote new life, you’ll leave with new skills and your own perfectly sized pocket pattern to use again and again. Most importantly, you’ll leave more empowered to make store-bought clothes work better for you!

• Learn how to sew your choice of a patch or inseam pocket — hidden or visible — by hand or with a sewing machine
• Explore placement, reinforcement, and finishing techniques
• Work on your own garment, bag, or textile item with personalized guidance
• Leave with a reusable pocket pattern sized just for you

• Bring a clothing item, bag, or other textile piece you’d like to alter
• Optional: bring your own fabric scraps for the pocket to match or contrast your item
• All other tools and materials provided

• Ages 12 and up
• Limited to 6 participants for plenty of personal guidance
• Beginner-friendly — previous sewing experience helpful but not required
