Summary: Organisations across the globe face complex governance challenges, such as understanding and managing supply chain risks, along with other environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Academics are adept at developing frameworks and research projects to tackle these complexities. However, the connection between industry and academia is not as strong as it could be to fully leverage the wealth of academic knowledge and thought. The question arises: how can industry forge relationships with academics to better understand and manage governance challenges? Moreover, how can we measure the impact of such collaborations to ensure meaningful academic engagement?
This interactive webinar will explore these questions, featuring examples of best practice from global experts in scholarly impact, including Professor Usha Haley, as well as national scholars at the forefront of showing how academic research can enhance industry practices, A/Professors Tim Nelson and Melissa Edwards. Facilitated by Dr Tracey Dodd, A/ Professor of Governance with the Governance Institute of Australia and Senior Lecturer at the Adelaide Business School, this seminar provides a platform for industry to discover the value of research collaborations that can help address ESG challenges, while enabling academics to better understand how they can measure and communicate the impact of their research in these areas.
