About this Event
Join The Maine Monitor's religion reporter Sean Scott for a panel discussion with Maine leaders at faith-based organizations who are serving low-income and other vulnerable community members, including by providing housing, food assistance and addiction recovery services. Local faith leaders will talk about the needs they are seeing in their communities and how they aim to fill in the gaps.
The event will be held at the Bangor Public Library from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., with an option for virtual participation. Questions will be taken from the live audience and the zoom audience.
The panel will include:
Anna Phillips, coordinator for Greater Bangor Area Street Pastors
Michael Smith, chief program officer for Catholic Charities Maine
Pastor Willie Ponds, executive director for Hope Haven Gospel Mission in Lewiston.
