Dr. Marcia Bost will talk on “How Quilts Communicate.” She will use the techniques of visual rhetoric to explore color, pattern, narrative and embodiment as the ways that quilts reflect the voices of their makers. She will also talk about reproduction as a means of studying quilt communication.
Dr. Bost’s academic research included her master’s thesis on the Visual Rhetoric of Quilts at Kennesaw State University.
