HOW DO YOU LOVE YOU? - Journey from Self-Judgment to Self-Love

We’ve all heard the Golden Rule: Love your neighbor as yourself. But what if the part we’ve overlooked is “as yourself”? How can we consistently offer love, compassion, patience, forgiveness, and kindness to others when we struggle to offer those same things to ourselves? In this interactive 90-minute workshop, Dr. Debby an international award-winning published author, shares her healing journey and practical tools that grew out of writing her book, How Do You Love You? - a journey of moving away from self-judgment, old stories, shame, criticism, and the relentless mental murmurs that can quietly shape how we see ourselves.

Through selected readings from How Do You Love You?, Debby will introduce some of the book’s most powerful concepts and exercises, including recognizing your Mental Murmur, moving from the Courtroom of self-judgment into the Classroom of curiosity and growth, practicing “Love, even though…,” examining the stories and identities you have carried, learning forgiveness and surrender, and beginning to speak to yourself with the same compassion you would give someone you deeply love. After each reading, participants will work with reflection questions and simple exercises designed to turn the ideas into a personal experience. This isn’t simply a lecture about self-love - it is an opportunity to actually practice it.

Questions and conversation are welcome throughout the workshop, followed by an open Q&A at the end. You’ll have the opportunity to explore where your own self-judgment began, what you have been telling yourself, what you are ready to release, and what loving yourself might actually look like in everyday life. You don’t have to arrive already loving everything about yourself. You simply arrive willing to ask the question: How do you love you? From there, we begin.
