“How Can I Tell MY Story?” is a workshop about the stories we live inside, and how becoming aware of them can help us better understand where we are, what shapes us, and where we may want to go.Through storytelling, symbolic thinking, visual expression, movement, reflection, and dialogue, we will explore the patterns, tensions, characters, and metaphors that appear in our lives. Through the lens of fairytales, we will look at our own experience from a different perspective.
The images and narratives we return to often reveal something about our needs, fears, desires, relationships, resources, and direction in life. Sometimes we experience ourselves as stuck in repetition. Sometimes in transition. Sometimes between identities, chapters, or decisions. Stories and symbols can help us make these landscapes more visible.
We will work individually, in pairs, and as a group, using:
– personal storytelling exercises
– metaphor and symbolic exploration
– visual and written reflection
– light somatic and meditative practices
– dialogue and shared witnessing
No artistic experience is needed. The focus is not on performance, “being creative,” or telling polished stories, but on using expressive tools to gain perspective and connect more deeply with oneself and others.
The workshop takes place in a house with a large garden near Vitosha mountain, and we will move between indoor and outdoor spaces depending on the needs of the group and the weather. There will be healthy snacks, coffee, tea, and enough space for both reflection and connection. We start at 14:00, you can choose to have a walk or hike in the area before.
While the workshop can bring meaningful personal insights, it is not group therapy or a clinical process.
The workshop is facilitated by Kris Filipiuk and Vania Kurshumova.
Kris works at the intersection of creativity, education, personal development, and organizational work. His background combines years of experience in non-formal education, business training, project management, expressive arts, and community-building. He is particularly interested in the role of metaphor, artistic expression, and embodied experience in developing self-awareness and agency.
Vania’s path moves through psychology, communication, relationships, and artistic exploration. Her experience with children, adults, and Nonviolent Communication deeply informs the way she holds spaces for reflection, honesty, and human connection.
