HOUSTON REPERTOIRE BALLET PROUDLY ANNOUNCES CELEBRATION OF DANCE 2026 PERFORMANCES

Houston Repertoire Ballet (HRB), Houston’s premier pre-professional ballet company, celebrates its milestone 30th season with Celebration of Dance 2026, featuring a breathtaking blend of classical and contemporary works. Celebration of Dance begins with Sleeping Beauty, the joyous Aurora’s Wedding (Act III), showcasing regal pageantry and enchanting characters brought to life by HRB’s talented dancers, alongside distinguished Kansas City Ballet guest artists, Olivia Jacobus and Andrew Vecseri, who will hang up his ballet shoes at the end of this season to pursue a Nuclear Science career. Experience the fiery passion of Bolero, a contemporary ballet choreographed by Victoria Vittum to the famous score of Maurice Ravel. Enjoy Take Five, a jazz piece choreographed by Kristy Nilsson to the music of Dave Brubeck. Next is Ascent, a vibrant new modern work by choreographer JoDee Engle to the stimulating music of Toneloom. The show concludes with the spirited charm of Rodeo, story-ballet choreographed by Kristy Nilsson, set to the fantastic music of Aaron Copland.
