📣 The 10th Annual Houston Latino Film Festival is almost here, and today we’re excited to share early details for this milestone edition. From March 18–22, 2026, HLFF will return at MATCH (3400 Main St.), marking a decade of uplifting Latine stories, artists, and communities through cinema. This year’s program includes over 80 films from emerging and established filmmakers from around the world as well as music, artist panels, and workshops (more info to come!).This year’s festival carries special meaning. What began as a three-day grassroots event in Houston’s East End has grown into a multi-day cultural gathering that welcomes filmmakers, artists, and audiences from across the region and beyond. The 2026 Festival will mark a decade of showcasing films that reflect the diversity, resilience, and creativity of Latine artists. The 10th-year slogan, “¡Houston, Aquà Estamos!” — a declaration — underscores the festival’s continuing mission to uplift emerging Latine artists.
The festival will celebrate its Opening Night on Wednesday, March 18, with the Sundance 2026 Festival Favorite Award–winning film AMERICAN PACHUCO: The Legend of Luis Valdez, with director David Alvarado in attendance! Guests are invited to meet and greet filmmakers while enjoying complimentary drinks provided by @saintarnoldbrewing (while supplies last; guests must be 21 or older). Attendees can also experience BEHIND THE SCENES (BTS), a visual and immersive exhibition curated by Raquel Natalicchio of The Open Door Gallery that honors the craft, collaboration, and creative labor behind filmmaking, highlighting the people, processes, and unseen moments that make cinema possible; the exhibition will be on view throughout the duration of the festival.
