Houston Fleet Week: Ruck with Marines at Memorial Park

Join Memorial Park Conservancy and the U.S. Marine Corps for a unique Fleet Week fitness event: a 3‑mile ruck (run with packs) around the Seymour Lieberman Trail. Participants will gather at 8:00 AM on the Live Oak Court lawn in Clay Family Eastern Glades, with the ruck stepping off around 8:30 AM.

Whether you want to run in formation with the Marines or simply jog alongside them, this experience is open to all members of the public and all fitness levels. The Marines will also host a 10‑minute leadership talk following the run, sharing insights into the meaning behind this tradition.

The inaugural Fleet Week Houston will celebrate the men and women of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard who bravely serve our nation at sea domestically and around the world. Fleet Week Houston will also showcase maritime service traditions, Houston’s role as a global port city, and create stronger connections between military personnel and the community.
