Hi friends! After such an amazing turnout for our first event, I am so excited to invite you back for our 2nd Bay Area Plant Swap in La Porte!
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just starting your green journey, come hang out, trade your extra cuttings, and meet fellow plant lovers. Both indoor and outdoor plants are welcome—anything you’ve been growing and want to share! This event is FREE with no entry fees and no money exchange.
🍴 Venue & Food Trucks
The Park on Main is generously hosting us again! To support this local space and keep these events possible, PLEASE NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS.
They have several fantastic food trucks open during the swap, so be sure to grab a snack or a drink while you browse and trade!
🌱 Trading & Adoptions
We’ll have communal tables set up for everyone to display their treasures:
• Trade Fairly: Think "cutting for cutting" or "plant for plant." PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MORE PLANTS THAN YOU BROUGHT UNTIL THE END!
• Keep it Safe: If you aren’t sure about trading a specific plant yet, keep it with you rather than placing it on the main table.
• Adopt-a-Plant Table: Have a plant that needs a new home but don't need a trade in return? Leave it here! Anyone can adopt from this table, no trade necessary.
Plant Giveaways
Stick around until the end! We’ll be doing giveaways for both indoor and outdoor plants (1 winner per category).
Everyone attending receives a ticket for each giveaway. Must be present to win—if a name is called and you aren't there, we will redraw!
The Ground Rules
• Label your plants so everyone knows what they’re looking at.
• Pest-Free Only: Please only bring healthy, bug-free plants to keep everyone’s collections safe!
• Be Kind: Respect your fellow gardeners and the venue.
• No outside food or drinks.
