🌱 Greenhouse Warming Party at The Apple Barn 🌱We’re opening the doors to our brand-new greenhouse, and you’re invited to help us unveil this new space with good food, good company, and plenty of warmth. Join us for an evening potluck under twinkly lights, with Apple Barn cider and donuts on the table.
This greenhouse marks an important step forward for us — not only at The Apple Barn, but for our community. Vermont agriculture has always been built on resilience, grit, and neighbors supporting neighbors. Generations before us have worked the land with determination and creativity, finding ways to extend the season and preserve the harvest. This greenhouse is our way of carrying that spirit forward: a place that blends heritage with possibility.
For me personally, it represents a dream realized. It is the “seed bed” for what I hope will become more community engagement, hands-on agricultural learning, and a shared sense of connection. It’s not just about growing food, but about growing experiences we can share together.
On Thursday, October 16th, from 6–8 PM, we’ll gather in the greenhouse for a cozy evening meal. Bring a dish to share, and we’ll provide the cider, soup and fresh bread and donuts. Together, we’ll fill this new space with laughter, light, and gratitude as we look toward the seasons ahead.
And because this greenhouse is meant to be lived in, this is only the beginning. As we move into late fall and winter, we’ll be hosting occasional coffee hours inside the greenhouse — a chance to soak up the sunshine, stay warm, and enjoy the comfort of community even in the colder months.
We can’t wait to welcome you into this new chapter with us.
