House of Lotus: First Light

House of Lotus is a new event series created for LGBTQ+ Asian professionals in Sydney. First Light is where it begins.

This isn't a pride event. It's not a networking mixer with name tags and elevator pitches. It's something quieter and more intentional than that - a room designed specifically for people who've spent too long being the only one in the room.

We've taken over the basement of Sydney Plaza Hotel for the night. Think warm amber lighting, wall-to-wall vinyl, brass bar, velvet seating. A space that feels like it was made for a long conversation and a well-made drink.

WHAT TO EXPECT

🎵 Curated music — slow, warm, the kind that makes a room feel like somewhere

🍸 The basement bar will be running all night with a full drinks menu

available to purchase directly from the venue. Come thirsty.

👥 A crowd of LGBTQ+ Asian professionals and allies — Sydney's people,

finally in the same room

🪷 An intimate atmosphere — we're capping numbers to keep it personal

Dress code: Smart casual. Come as yourself.

Doors open 6PM. Limited tickets at $30.
