Come Volunteer as a house mom for JACKIE'S HOUSE in Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky. We are a small residential sober living home for women needing to transition back into the community after treatment for substance abuse disorder. We have no more than 5 women living in the house at once.
We provide a positive, safe, healthy environment for women to learn to "Live Life Differently!"
We need additional house mom volunteers to work evenings, overnights (you do get to sleep), weekend days, and nights. Shifts are based on your availability and hours. As a volunteer, you decide how often, once a month, twice a month, or once a week.
House Mom Qualifications
Must be a Biological Female
Attender of a Christ-Centered Church
Must be saved by Christ
Must Complete the Informational Training
25 years of age or older
Must be willing to submit to a background check.
Must be able to pass a Background Check and have no violent or sexual convictions.
Must be able to make decisions at any time with imperfect information
Must have the ability to write reports and correspondence.
Must have Active Listening Skills with Effective Communication Skills
Must be able to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
Must adhere to the Code of Conduct Agreement
If in Recovery, must have a minimum of 2 years working an active recovery program and abstinent from all mind-altering substances, including alcohol.
