House Fire

An accidental house fire takes the life of a 20-something Korean American woman named Laurie.

As her life ends, Laurie finds herself in a state of limbo in the afterlife, in a portal between the earthly life she once knew and an eternity that is unknown.

Desperate for answers, Laurie finds herself face to face….with her Grandma. Then her boyfriend’s mom… and finally an old high school classmate. What is going on?

House Fire is a story of the afterlife, but is also a philosophical and sometimes comic look at life, death and the mysteries of both. A world premiere production by Seattle’s Carol Y. Lee, House Fire will entertain, make you think, have you explore a bit about philosophy, religion and family, and may even make you hungry for a meal at Dairy Queen.
