Enjoy a 10 or 20-mile scenic bike ride to benefit the ALFA, the adult literacy program in Haiti.
About this Event

This mainly flat 10-mile route will begin at St. Bartholomew Parish. It starts north predominantly along the people trails by the airport, through scenic countryside, and finishes on minor streets throughout downtown.

The 20-mile ride will follow the 10-mile route but extend to the people trails along the west side of Columbus, offering scenic views of Tipton Lakes, and then return to St. Bartholomew Parish.

A water station rest stop will be approximately halfway through the ride. Sag wagons will be available throughout the course. Ample parking will be available on the parish grounds and surrounding schools.

Join us for a cookout in the yard following 5 p.m. Mass and a ride.

ALFA ► All proceeds from this ride benefit ALFA. It is one of the many projects of Friends of Haiti at Saint Bartholomew Parish. In partnership with the SL Ann & SL Isidore parishes in Limonade, Haiti, we provide multi-level literacy classes to market women and peasant farmers in 12 different areas throughout Limonade and its surrounding villages. The program began in 2002. This year, we celebrate our 24th year of programming.

By execution of this release and waiver, I verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event. My physical condition has been verified by a licensed physician.
