Hotel Metropolitan Ghost Hunt & Sleepover, Paducah, Kentucky
Friday November 20 and Saturday November 21, 2026
Some of the hotel's most famous guests never checked out.
Built as a sanctuary during segregation, the Hotel Metropolitan welcomed African American travelers when most places turned them away. Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Thurgood Marshall all walked these halls. Now their footsteps are heard when no one is there.
The Purple Room, where jazz legends once played, is home to unexplained voices and phantom music. Guests and investigators report shadowy figures in the hallways and at the top of the stairs, conversations in empty rooms, doors opening and closing on their own, and the touch of unseen hands.
Join Haunted Rooms America for a full night investigating one of Kentucky's most historically significant haunted locations, then sleep in the very rooms where it all happens.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
A private tour with the hotel's curator, Betty Dobson
Small-group vigils with our experienced investigators in the most active areas
