Join us for a mindful experience of hot (~78 degrees) Yin Yoga paired with a sound bath as you melt into slow, passive, gravity-based poses while immersed in the harmonious sounds of crystal singing bowls. Limited spaces available.
Hot Yin is an an oxymoron; Yin Yoga is normally practiced in a cooler environment, as more stress reaches ligaments and deeper connective tissues.
While not as hot as a hot yoga class, the warmer temperature will also warm the muscles, as some students need to be warm to get any sensation or stress to those deeper tissues.
"Please realize the benefits of Yin Yoga are not purely physical: students also benefit from the stillness the practice offers. The opportunity to come to an edge, become still and be with sensations is still available even in a hot room. Indeed, there may be more sensations to be aware of in a hot room. The opportunity to practice mindfulness is enhanced by remaining still for 3, 5, 10 minutes at a time. The temperature of the room need not diminish the quality of the mindfulness practice.
