About this Event

For one special evening, the Hannibal Arts Council gallery will be transformed into an intimate jazz club setting, offering audiences an up-close musical experience filled with energy, artistry and improvisation.

The performance will feature hometown favorite Marty Morrison (Springfield MO) on drums, joined by an outstanding ensemble of acclaimed musicians including Brant Jester (Ozark MO) on piano, Austin Cebulske (Kansas City MO) on saxophone, and Sebastian Arias (Madison WI) on bass. Together, these accomplished performers will deliver an evening of exceptional jazz ranging from classic standards to contemporary favorites.

A Hannibal native at heart, jazz drummer and educator Marty Morrison currently serves on the Jazz Studies faculty at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. Inspired by his father, renowned Hannibal jazz pianist Bill Morrison, Marty was immersed in music from an early age. Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous jazz luminaries and regularly performs in both Kansas City and St. Louis. He holds degrees from Southern Illinois University.
