Hospitality Collaborative Meeting

We appreciate your continued partnership in strengthening our local workforce. At our last meeting, we introduced an exciting new initiative—subcommittees designed to enhance collaboration and address key workforce challenges in our county. These committees will provide a structured space for members to share insights, resources, and solutions that benefit both employers and job seekers.

As a valued member of our collaborative, we invite you to help shape these subcommittees by sharing your interest through a brief survey:

All collaborative members will have access to our Sharepoint, where we will host discussions and share relevant workforce resources. Whether or not you choose to join a subcommittee, you will have full access to information and updates to stay engaged in our collective efforts.

Below are the initial three subcommittees:

• Transportation Issues and News
  This group will focus on identifying and addressing transportation challenges that impact employees and employers in the county. We will share available free resources, provide updates on transportation-related news, and advocate for solutions that improve workforce mobility.
• Career Pathways
  This subcommittee helps businesses connect with local students through summer jobs, apprenticeships, and outreach, building direct school partnerships and workforce pipelines in Hospitality.
• Language Services: ESL, Translation, and Training
  This committee will focus on expanding access to language services for both employers and employees. We will share information about free courses, translation services, and training opportunities to help bridge language barriers in the workplace.
