🌿 HOSANNA FESTIVAL! 🌿The Triumphal Entry took place during one of the busiest times of the year in Jerusalem. Since Passover was approaching, the city was overflowing with hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who had traveled from all over the ancient world to celebrate. Because families were required to bring or purchase livestock for the traditional holiday meals, the narrow city streets would have been packed not just with people, but with a noisy, dusty mix of sheep, goats, and cattle. Into this crowded, bustling scene, Jesus rode a donkey through the East Gate, met by a sea of people waving palm branches and shouting "Hosanna!"—a moment of intentional peace in the middle of a chaotic and crowded city.
