Horsing Around in July! (For over-55's)

In case you missed out with our original dates in March - here's another opportunity for you!

If you're over-55 and have missed out on the opportunity of horse-riding or haven't ridden since childhood, this could be your lucky day! And there's free tea/coffee and cake!

Come and find out what it's all about at a one-off Open Day at the Alkham Valley Community Project at Minnismoor Stables in Hougham, Dover. You'll learn about horses, have a go at grooming one, ride the simulator and have an opportunity to ride a horse on a leading rein in the indoor school.

If you choose not to actually ride a horse, you can still come along to be around the horses and have a go on the simulator if you wish.

We will do our best to assist you if you have mobility/health issues, so please let us know, on the order form, if you have health concerns that may require additional support.

Please note that there is a weight limit of 89 kg (14 stone) for riding the horses. You will be asked to input height and weight so that riders can be matched to horses appropriately.

Age UK South Kent Coast is delivering wellbeing activities for over 55's in partnership with Social Enterprise Kent, funded by Kent County Council (KCC). This subsidised activity has been made possible through KCC’s Universal Wellbeing programme. Participants will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to help demonstrate the impact of our activities on wellbeing and to help guide future events.
