Horsenden welcomes you to the 7th annual Wassail at Horsenden Farm. This tradition stretches back hundreds of years and is still practiced in fruit growing areas throughout the UK. It involves blessing the fruit trees with the hope of a good harvest.
There will be marked viewing places around the farm where you can enjoy the colourful procession and ceremony. You’re welcome to join in the singing too and please bring drums, cymbals, pots and sticks – anything that can make some noise to drive out the evil spirits!
We’ll have entertainment from Northfields Morris and our Minstrels in the Courtyard after the ceremony with refreshments from Horsenden Loaf, Perivale Brewery and Friends of Horsenden.
The procession begins at 2pm but get your places early to ensure a good view. Bring picnic chairs for extra comfort. There is no charge for this event.
