Join us for the Copenhagen release of HORSEHEAD and a fundraising event in support of Red Door Gallery and Magazine.HORSEHEAD assembles a speculative cosmology and an intimate poetics of embodiment, positioning the nebula as both an astronomical formation and an existential terrain. Through fragmented prose and sensual imagery, the text explores desire, void, and emergence as intertwined forces. Written and illustrated by Elizabeth Torres, and published by Red Press in January 2026, the book, a bilingual edition in English and Spanish, is released as a limited edition of 200 signed and numbered copies.
Red Door Gallery and Magazine is an independent, artist-led cultural platform that has operated continuously since 2009. Based in Copenhagen, it functions as a hybrid infrastructure: a physical gallery, a printed and digital magazine, a podcast, and a year-round program of free exhibitions, performances, workshops, and festivals. Operating without structural public or private funding, Red Door is currently under pressure due to rising rents, utilities, and infrastructure costs.
This fundraiser supports one year of basic physical infrastructure and free public programming, ensuring continued public access while Red Door works toward becoming a forening.
Empanadas, drinks, books, art, and magazines will be available. The program includes poetry readings and live music. All proceeds and donations go directly toward keeping Red Door open.
