Macayla Upright is an aquatic toxicologist, PhD Candidate in Environmental Health Sciences at USC, and public servant at the Department of Environmental Services. Her love of horror goes all the way back to reading "Scary Stories to tell in the Dark" when she was in elementary school. She is excited to introduce everybody to the spooky, weird, and diverse world of horror literature!
Maggie Olszewski works as a bookseller at All Good Books - you’ll also find her working on the floor at The Nickelodeon movie theater. Despite being a scaredy cat, she came to love horror as a teenager, enjoying the campiness of early seasons “Supernatural” and really any show about ghost hunters she could get her hands on. Now as an adult, she’s become completely obsessed with reading all kinds of horror novels, with a special affnity for queer horror. She is so excited to dive even further into the genre with this book club!
Jordan McCormack is a graphic designer and drone operator at a local construction firm, and a professional popcorn slinger at a local independent movie theater. His love of horror began young, with “Goosebumps,” “Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark,” and stories told around the campfire about the Blair Witch Project. He’s excited to have a dive into haunting, macabre, and terrifying worlds with the book club!
