Welcome to Horizon: Dereliction, a world ravaged by a polluted atmosphere and chemical storms. You are here in a vestige of civilization, a worn down place like any other in the world and rotting at the edges. Your goal is to survive one way or another. The path you follow to that goal is up to you. There are a few factions here you can join or you can continue on your own, each option has its own unique ups and downs that you will likely discover throughout your time here.
Following April 26, 1986: The Chernobyl Disaster, the world began to fear the potential aftermath of nuclear power. Because of this world governments focused on an alternative eventually discovering a new element known as Solithium. Solithium was found in old meteorite craters around the world. The discovery of Solithium slingshoted technological advancements resulting in new sources of power, medicines, and prototype technologies. However all good things must come to an end.
Due to the wealth gained by those with control of Solithium mines many hazards were ignored or covered up by both the government and the 1%. Solithium produced a hazardous material gas that did not decay. These chemicals eventually collided into immense chemical storms that rolled across the earthβs surface ravaging its landscapes and inhabitants. These storms persist even now forcing many survivors to constantly be seeking homes and shelters capable of outlasting the storms. That is where you find yourself now, a small valley that has been outliving the storms for many years one way or another.

Bring flashlights. Players should do their best to match the theme of the event. Outfits should have (SAFE) qualities, additions, or modifications to make them look worn, damaged, rusted, dirty, scrapped together, slightly torn, or any way or combination that matches a worn down society trying to survive in an apocalyptic world. Semi Sci-fi outfits are acceptable so long as it matches the broken down society theme of an apocalyptic world and/or is approved by the event staff.
