About this Event

The Crater Health District in partnership with the Hopewell Department of Social Services is bringing the community a resource fair meant to promote trust and resilience through care, support, and resources. The purpose of this event is to build trust and promote community resilience by connecting community members to care, support, education, and resources. There will be focuses on facilitating healthy lifestyles by providing access to healthy food, overdose prevention, STI education and testing, maternal health, family supports, safety, and emergency preparedness.

The Hopewell Community and Resource Day is being held on September 9th, 2026, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Hopewell DSS: 316 East Cawson St, Hopewell, VA 23834

It will feature over 40 community organizations, health screenings, locals speakers and hands-on experiences. This includes food demonstrations, a free grocery giveaway, and other engaging activities. There will be food trucks, music, and a family friendly day filled with activities for all ages.
