Agenda

🕑: 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM
Doors Open

Info: The event will begin with time for attendees to gather food and connect, walk the art gallery, visit tables with behavioral health resources, participate in Narcan training and share reflections on the Wall of Hope.

🕑: 03:00 PM - 04:30 PM
Storytelling Showcase

Info: Community stories will be highlighted through video, dance and presentations, including:
(1) A video compilation of community stories about mental health experiences - presented by the Mental Health Alliance organizations
(2) A performing arts showcase including a contemporary dance, ocarina music piece and a Tai Chi performance. These will remind us that healing begins not by avoiding struggle, but by embracing imperfection, reconnecting with ourselves and finding the strength to move forward, one breath and one step at a time.
(3) Time for conversation and space to share your own story, if you choose.

🕑: 04:30 PM - 06:00 PM
Film Festival

Info: Attendees can choose one of three breakout films:
(1) What's Your Mental Health?: Every superhero has an origin story, but what if yours begins with anxiety, depression, or trauma—and no one’s willing to talk about it? This is a bold documentary that pulls back the mask on America’s mental health crisis and asks - what does it really take to heal?
(2) Silent War: Asian American Reckonings with Mental Health: A powerful documentary exploring the mental health crisis facing Asian Americans. The documentary follows several families sharing their battles with mental illness, highlighting the challenges Asian Americans face and the stigma surrounding mental illness. The film will be followed by a panel discussion.
(3) A Closer Look at Community Stories of Mental Health: These films will feature first-hand stories from community members, viewed as interviews captured by the African American Community Roundtable and Asian American Healthcare Center.
