Hope Starts Here: A Community Suicide Prevention Event in Pensacola
Join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Florida Panhandle Chapter as we debut our brand new education event! Hope Starts Here: A Community Suicide Prevention Event will feature community resources and presentations of 3 of AFSP's signature programs. In the afternoon session, we will host an optional "Talk Saves Lives" Training for Presenters that will equip you to volunteer as an AFSP Programs Presenter.
The Signature Programs for this event will include:
-Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention
-Caring Communities: Guidance for Supporting Survivors of Suicide Loss
-It's Real: Teens and Mental Health
Event Outline:
8:30 am: Registration Opens
9:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT: Session 1: Featuring 3 AFSP Program Presentations
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT: Lunch (Included- Please email if you have any dietary restrictions)
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT: Session 2: Optional Talk Saves Lives Training for Presenters for those who wish to volunteer to present our programs
