The choir will be accompanied by Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, French Horn, Cello, and piano.
“Hope in the Shadows” recalls Christ’s journey to the cross by examining the shadows of betrayal, injustice and agony that marked that journey.
It contrasts the selfish exploits of humanity with the divine nature of a loving God.
The work also includes thoughtful narrations to present the shadows. With each shadow the sanctuary will be darkened until we are plunged into total darkness, leaving us alone in the shadows and waiting for the light of the resurrection.
