💙 Hope in Motion for Theo 💙
Our family is inviting our community to come together for Hope in Motion for Theo — a benefit for our sweet 9-year-old boy who has been fighting a medical battle that no child should have to face.
For those who may not know Theo or our family's story, Theo has been dealing with severe chronic constipation and serious colon motility issues. His journey has included countless appointments, testing, medications, hospital visits, enemas, cleanouts, and ultimately surgery.
Even after surgery, Theo’s journey is far from over. His colon continues to struggle to work the way it should and sometimes seems to stop working altogether. Over time, it has become stretched and enlarged to approximately three times the size it should be. Despite everything Theo goes through each day to help his body, we are still searching for answers and hoping to find something that will finally give him relief.
Because of this, Theo continues to need specialized medical care. We frequently travel to Madison for appointments and treatment, and as many of you know, that is a long trip for our family. Now, Theo is also being referred to Children’s in Columbus, Ohio for additional testing as we continue searching for answers and the best path forward.
Between medical bills, frequent travel, gas, food, and time away from work and home, the financial burden has continued to grow.
As parents, there is nothing harder than watching your child struggle and knowing you would do absolutely anything to make things easier for them. While we continue to focus on getting Theo the care and answers he needs, our incredible family, friends, and community are coming together to help lighten some of the financial burden.
That is why we are hosting Hope in Motion for Theo. 💙
This benefit is about more than raising money. It is about surrounding Theo and our family with hope, love, strength, and support. It is about showing one little boy that he is not fighting this journey alone.
We hope you will join us for a day filled with community, food, fun, raffles, and most importantly, love for Theo. 💙
