Benefit Focus

We live in a world that feels increasingly uncertain — natural disasters, global conflict, economic upheaval. It's easy to feel powerless in the face of chaos. But what if readiness itself could be an act of hope?

Join us for our 15th Annual Brunch & Benefit as we explore what it means to prepare — body and spirit — for the unexpected, and how that preparation becomes a lifeline for communities around the world. This year, we're honored to spotlight our continued support of World Vision's Global Emergency Response Fund, a vital resource that positions relief exactly where and when it's needed most.

We'll dig into both the practical and the spiritual sides of disaster readiness, and we'll hear firsthand what it takes to turn crisis response into lasting, community-rooted transformation.

Featured Speaker

TAE SYMONS

Senior Manager, Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs, World Vision USA

Based in Houston, Tae Symons sits at the heart of World Vision's global disaster response engine. As Senior Manager for Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs, she manages the complex web of public and private grants that make rapid relief possible — ensuring that when disaster strikes, resources from the Global Emergency Response Fund are already moving, cutting through logistics so aid reaches the people who need it most, right when they need it.

But as Tae will tell you, World Vision never walks into a crisis blind. Every response builds on deep, pre-existing relationships with local leaders in nearly 100 countries — relationships built long before the emergency, and sustained long after. From that foundation, the path forward looks different in every community.

Join us as we ask Tae what success really looks like in global emergency relief, why preparedness matters as much as response, and how those local relationships turn the delivery of basic survival needs into a profound and lasting victory.
