PLYMOUTH, MA — The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra—under the direction of Music Director Steven Karidoyanes—rolls out the red carpet for Hooray for Hollywood! on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 7 PM at Plymouth Memorial Hall. This star-studded program celebrates iconic film music and cinematic milestones with all the flair and grandeur of the silver screen. The featured guest vocalist is Jacyn Tremblay.
“I am so excited to introduce to Plymouth our guest vocalist, Jacyn Tremblay,” says Conductor Karidoyanes. “I just saw her rehearse and perform with The Boston Pops several weeks ago. She is fabulous, and had the whole audience eating out of the palm of her hand! We’re all in for a real treat when we perform with her.”
This concert takes audiences straight to Tinseltown, with a lively soundtrack from some of Hollywood’s most beloved films. Celebrate major movie anniversaries as Back to the Future turns 40 (“Great Scott!”), The Rocky Horror Picture Show hits 50, and The Sound of Music reaches its 60th year. The program also includes a rousing tribute to John Williams, whose unforgettable scores for Star Wars, Superman, and more have shaped generations of movie magic. And to mark D.C. Comics’ 90th anniversary, the Phil will revisit heroic themes from Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.
Adding her own sparkle to the evening, vocalist Jacyn Tremblay will perform title songs to the films Skyfall and Beauty and the Beast, as well as Somewhere Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz.
Tremblay is a versatile vocalist and recording artist known for her expressive voice and captivating stage presence. A former Universal/Motown artist with the pop/R&B group Jada, she recently appeared as the featured soloist with The Boston Pops. Other orchestras with which she has performed include the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra, the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic and the Hillyer Festival Orchestra. Whether performing pop, Broadway, jazz, or soul, Tremblay connects with audiences through heartfelt, dynamic performances. She also performs with the band Splash!, co-produces and stars in MUSE: A Salute to Divas, and records with her pop group Three Second Chances, whose original holiday song When The Tree Goes Up was featured in the Hallmark movie Letters to Santa. Tremblay is thrilled to be making her debut with the Phil.
This promises to be a night of unforgettable melodies, movie magic, and musical memories—a standing-ovation start to the holiday season!
As part of America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration, the Phil is honored to join the festivities that have become a beloved holiday tradition—connecting our community to the spirit, history, and heritage of our nation’s earliest days.
