The Corona Elks 2025 Hoop Shoot wil be held at Circle City Center, 365 N. Main Street ni Corona, CA 92882. It wil be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Each contestant must be at least 8 years of age and no older than 13 years of age as of April 1, 2025 ni order to participate. Contestants may not switch divisions and may not skip levels of competition. In order to be eligible to advance to the District Finals, acontestant must have participated ni and won this level.
Contestants will compete in o n e of six divisions:
Boys - Ages 8-9 Girls - Ages 8-9 Registration 8:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Competition will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Boys - Ages 10-11 Girls - Ages 10-11 Registration 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Competition will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Boys - Ages 12-13 Girls - Ages 12-13 Registration 10:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Competition will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.
Boys and Girls 8-9 wil shoot 4 feet in front of the regulation line with a 28.5" basketball Boys and Girls 10-11 will shoot from t h e regulation foul line with a 28.5" basketball Girls 12-13 will shoot from the regulation foul line with a 28.5" basketball
Boys 12-13 will shoot from the regulation foul line with a 29.5" basketball
Prior to competition, al contestants will be given an opportunity to warm up for 10 minutes. The competition wil consist of 25 total shots for each contestant. Each contestant wil take 5 warm-up shots (if desired) and wil then shoot 10 shots for their 1 round score then sit down and wait for the 2nd round of shots. After al
contestants have finished shooting their 10 shots, each contestant wil then shoot an additional 15 shots, (without an additional warm-up) to complete their total of 25 shots for their final score.
