We’re joining forces with the Docklands Waterfront Farmers’ Market at Harbour Esplanade for an epic day by the water, with something for everyone - whether you’re a keen fisher, seafood fanatic or family looking for a great day out.
Think fresh seafood, local produce, fishing, family activities, cooking demonstrations, live music and plenty more. Here’s what you can get stuck into:
🎣 Free ‘come and try’ fishing clinics for kids with Fishcare, including rods and bait. Bookings essential – go to www.vfa.vic.gov.au/hookedondocklands.
🛍️ Browse the Docklands Waterfront Farmers’ Market and support local producers.
🎣 Fishing & Outdoor Swap Meet - donate, trade or pick up fishing and camping gear. More info at www.vfa.vic.gov.au/swapmeet.
🎨 Kids’ activities including arts and crafts, games and educational sessions with our Education Team.
🎯 Learn how to cast at our free casting clinics.
📸 Meet our mascot ‘Pinky the Snapper’, grab some giveaways and snap a selfie.
🎣 Get tips from Women in Recreational Fishing and Boating Network leaders on improving your catch rates for species like King George whiting, calamari and snapper.
