Join us for a day celebrating aviation, community, and the important role Hood Aerodrome continues to play in the Wairarapa region. Whether you are an aviation enthusiast, bringing the family for a day out, or simply interested in exploring the aerodrome, there will be something for all ages.
What’s Happening
🛩️ Aircraft Displays
Explore resident hangars and view a range of aircraft, including vintage, recreational, and privately owned planes.
🛩️ Emergency Services and Aviation Organisations
Meet local emergency services and aviation groups and learn more about the services operating within our region.
🛩️ Food and Refreshments
A range of food vendors will be on site, along with coffee and a sausage sizzle. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy on the grassed areas.
Things to Note
👉 Free parking is available off Manaia Road
👉 South Road will be closed to all traffic except residents, Aeroclub members, and accessibility parking
👉 This is a smoke free and alcohol free event
👉 While we love dogs, please leave your dogs at home
