About this Event
Algonquin College takes pride in its commitment to making Indigenous Knowledge and Truth and Reconciliation an integral part of the institution’s culture and woven into the fabric throughout the entire year.
The Department of Indigenous Initiatives invites you to join us as we introduce Nìgàn.
Nìgàn is a collaboration between Algonquin College and community partners that creates meaningful relationships grounded in learning, respect and shared responsibility. Partners are invited to become part of the college community to experience relationship building, working in-circle, learning about Indigenization and reconciliation. This partnership also allows for experiences that can help shape or create change within their own organizations. This builds on the existing framework of the DARE6 program.
____
Join us as we mark the start of National Indigenous Peoples Month and introduce Nigan, the next chapter of DARE6.
We are honoured to welcome Mr. Frank Horn of the Kahnawake community.
