Honor a Humane Future: A Peaceful Gathering at the Icon Awards

Of all the incredible, compassionate women leading in Greater Boston, the Boston Business Journal chose Birgit Girshick, CEO of Charles River Laboratories, as one of the featured honorees at its 2026 Icon Awards. Charles River reported using 43,346 animals in 2025 alone, including 7,409 dogs, 15,687 primates and 13,945 rabbits. That doesn't count the countless mice, rats and other animals the law doesn't even require them to report.
Join us as we ask for a full and immediate replacement of animal testing with modern, non-animal methods. That's the future worth honoring.
