Honing Your Identity: Lessons in Intersectionality and Storytelling
Come join activist Burhan Muhammud at the Tufts LGBT Center, where we will gather to:
- Reclaim Identity as Power – Leverage their identities as a source of joy, resilience, and sustainable change.
- Build Intersectional Movements – Develop strategies for cross-sector, coalition-based organizing that amplifies marginalized voices, particularly from the Global South.
- Combat Weaponization of Identity Politics – Recognize how identity politics is used to divide communities and learn tactics to resist and reframe these narratives.
- Translate Discussion into Action – Get to know one another, build community, and gain practical tools to turn dialogue into meaningful activism, advocacy, and systemic change.
