Jessica Petrie-Cummings of Petrie Family Farms/Farmer at the Door
This is a beginner class for water bath canning and fermenting. Each participant will leave with 1 jar of pickled beets and 1 jar of sauerkraut. Learn the process start to finish to preserve your food at home, from sterilizing jars to making a brine good for any vegetable and the basic steps for fermenting. Please bring your favorite knife for chopping and a cutting board. All other materials will be provided.
