Reduce your food waste by learning how to composting with worms and turn your scraps into soil amendments!
About this Event

51.4% of the solid waste that ends up in landfills is organic material. When this organic material breaks down in this type of environment, it produces methane. Landfills are the third highest producers of methane in the US. Vermicomposting is an easy low maintnace way to turn your food scraps in to a valuable soil amendment.

This is a free event where participants will learn about constructing and maintaining bins as well as learn how to use vermicompost on their plants. Join Richmond County Extension to see a functioning worm bin and get all your questions answered about vermicomposting.
