WHAT:Register now for the Homeschool Science Fair hosted by the Outer Banks Homeschool Alliance on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the College of the Albemarle Dare Campus in Manteo, NC.
WHO:
Two levels of participation, based on age:
Junior Scientist - ages 8 to early middle school
Senior Scientist - advanced middle school to high school
COST:
$5.00 per entry
A complimentary workshop registration is provided with each science fair entry.
Students who do not wish to attend the science fair, but would like to attend the workshop can do so for $5.00.

WORKSHOP DETAILS
Friday, February 27, 2026 from 10am - 12pm, At Son Rise church of Christ (1311 Goldie St, K*ll Devil Hills.) students are invited to attend a one-day interest and information workshop. Workshop attendees will receive an educational overview of the scientific method, understand project requirements, and hone the presentation skills needed to ensure success in the science fair.
SCIENCE FAIR DETAILS
Saturday, March 28, 2026, beginning at 10am, students will have an opportunity to present their findings and be evaluated by a panel of judges. Junior participants will create a presentation board for evaluation*, while Senior participants will be asked to make formal presentations in addition to submitting a presentation board for evaluation*.
*Students may opt out of the project evaluation during the registration process.
