About this Event
NOTE: This is a four-week series, Wednesdays, Sept. 10, 17 and 24, and Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. each week.
Take a break from your lesson plans and join us for our new four-week homeschool makers workshop! This series will offer homeschooled students a chance to meet new friends and try some fun crafting techniques at the same time.
Our list of potential projects is long and growing every day, but so far it includes:
- Zines
- Lego printmaking
- Weaving
- A very cool beaded sculpture project
- Pompoms and tassels
- Collage and shadowboxes
- Art journaling
This series is open to students ages 7 to 16. Projects will be modified for different age groups when necessary. Most projects will be somewhat open-ended so students can explore whatever direction excites them.
Also: We’re looking for a high school-aged “intern” to assist with these workshops. If your homeschooled teen is outgoing, good with other kids (especially younger ones) and has a strong crafty side, we’d love to have their help. Please send us a note at [email protected] if you’d like to learn more.
