Aspiring scientists can join the Marine Resources Council’s monthly Lagoon Explorers program to dive deeper into the natural world, the process of scientific inquiry, and what makes Florida’s environments so special. Each month, the Lagoon Explorers will examine a new subject, ranging from water quality to ecology to marine biology.
The two-hour lesson will feature an introduction, an outdoor observational opportunity (weather permitting), hands-on laboratory exploration, and an opportunity for discussion. Lagoon Explorers will take place on the first Wednesday of every month from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Each lesson is $15 per student. Registrants must confirm registration five days prior to the program date.
Each program caps at 17 total students. Reserve your spot as soon as possible to guarantee attendance!
Decembers Lagoon Explorers Program is "What is a rain garden?"
