Travel back in time and experience life on the early Tennessee frontier at Homeschool Day—a monthly living history event at Mansker’s Station, open to any size homeschool group, from individual families to large homeschool cooperatives.
Explore the site at your own pace between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM, and enjoy hands-on activities and historical demonstrations that explore trades and daily life on the frontier.
Each month features a different theme. The theme for September is "Colonial Field Day", filled with traditional toys and engaging activities from 18th-century America.
Admission includes:
Entry to the American Indian Exhibit
A short video about early Middle Tennessee history
Hands-on activities and live history demonstrations
Shared picnic space at Shelter #3 near the large playground
Please Note:
Homeschool Day is open to multiple groups and is not exclusive to one organization.
This is not a drop-off event. All students through age 17 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Admission: $9 per person (ages 6 and up); children 5 and under are free
Reservations in advance are highly encouraged.
