The California Desert. Adobe bricks. Discarded windows. Automobile parts. They may not sound like the ingredients for an art project. But that’s exactly what Leonard Knight turned them into. His 50-foot-tall creation = Salvation Mountain - is one of the most unique outdoor art installations ever created. Knight spent nearly 30 years working on the mountain. In spite of the high desert temps, an average of 50 people a day visit the site.
Join us for our first Homeschool Art of the school year to learn more about Knight and to create your own miniature version of Salvation Mountain!
