💚 HOMELESSNESS AWARENESS WALK | WALK TOGETHER. SHARE HOPE.
Real Stories. Real People. Real Hope.
Homelessness affects individuals and families of all ages, including young people right here in our own community. Behind every statistic is a real person, a real story, and someone deserving of compassion, dignity, and hope.
Year after year, WAIT House and Open Door Mission have joined forces to bring awareness to homelessness in our community. While our organizations serve different populations, we share a common mission: ensuring that individuals experiencing homelessness are seen, supported, and reminded that they are not alone.
This November, in recognition of Homelessness Awareness Month, we are proud to continue this meaningful tradition and invite YOU to walk alongside us!
📅 Thursday, November 12, 2026
🕛 12:00 PM (Noon)

HONORING TAMMY BREEN | 2026 COMMUNITY WARRIOR AWARD
We are also proud to recognize Tammy Breen with the 2026 Community Warrior Award, honoring her compassion, dedication, and the meaningful difference she continues to make in our community.
WHY WE WALK
Homelessness does not discriminate by age or circumstance. From young people facing housing instability to adults experiencing homelessness, every individual deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued.
This walk is more than raising awareness. It's about bringing our community together, encouraging compassion, and reminding those facing difficult circumstances that they matter.
Whether you're a community member, local business, organization, family, or someone who simply wants to make a difference, we welcome you to join us.
No registration. No cost. Just a community coming together for a cause that matters.
Help us spread the word by sharing this event and inviting your friends, family, and coworkers.
